Benjamin Banneker was born in 1731. He was born at Baltimore, Maryland. He was a scientist and a educator. For years he was known as the Negro man of science. Banneker’s parents died leaving him the farm since his sisters married and moved away. He was very fascinated by the watch. He died in 1806.
