Thurgood Marshall was born in 1908 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a Supreme Court judge and the first African American to be on the Supreme Court. Thurgood Marshall was the Chief Counsel for NAACP. He was nominated to the Supreme Court by President Lyndon   in 1967. He died in the year 1993.
