Mosses are plants that can turn green to brown depending on the condition. The plant moss grows mostly everywhere. To grow it requires nothing more then shade, acidic (that is like acid), soil, and adequate or enough moisture to flourish. Mosses obtain all the nutrients from the air and around areas. Mosses also seem to have poor quality soils with how nutrients with how nutrients level because it gets nutrients from the air. Their is about  four species of moss.

         The word moss is a common name for plants of the Phylum Bryophyta . Mosses are native to the entire land of areas of the world. They grow mostly on soil, rocks, and bark of trees. Also in logs and shallow streams. Moss plants consist of small slender stalks and leaves. So moss is kind of a part of a plant.

           Mosses has little filaments that allow it to take up nutrients so it will dry faster than ground cover plants. To grow moss you also need to keep the weeds out. Moss can’t compete for moisture with the roots of weeds. Be sure to remove fallen leaves in the fall.

             Most flowering plants need plenty of light to grow and reproduce. Mosses often grow in damper place. Mosses grow in compact areas for growth. Mosses can also survive in rocky areas. Moss needs damp conditions to cling to rocks next to streams. Mosses break down exposed substance releasing nutrients for the use of more complex  plants. Mosses can survive dry conditions. Mosses grow during rainy monthly , but in the summer they die out.

    Mosses grow around the world and grow in the dampest places. Some mosses can be deadly or just lying there. The Moss can kill the plants in a garden. Moss can grow under water. These must be special plants the can grow under water. The plant moss was here since the land forms.    

    Mosses cope with cold in a similar way. The tiny green moss plant is  nearly always in large dense groups. The leaves are usually one cell thick and the plants have tiny root lets which are connected to each other because many plants grow from along horizontal pipe like structure called the protomema.  They grow in compact forms like cushions very close to the ground . The moss has no roots. It requires nothing more than  the followings. All moss plants need firm soil bed in a location with adequate shade. Mosses also prefer the rain than heat and winter.    

    Mosses grow on the trunk of trees in damper places. The ferns grow and their seeds often germinate in pockets. They are rotting plant matter such as dead mosses. Mosses can’t be a food for regular animals like ants, mice, and spiders. They have germs and others materials to eat off them. Mosses can grow in water, land, trees, and in the land.

    The plant moss grow in any garden. They are in mostly in Japan gardens. They have been there for many years. They have been a celebration for the people of Japan.      Mosses can grow to a size of a of a baby child. It can weigh up to two to five pounds.

    Did I mention that the plant moss is one of the most common plant found on the planet. People mostly find it, moss, in the backyard. They grow over time so when summer begins they mostly die out. The least common place the plant moss is found is the rocks of the mountain. The mountain’s degrees is super cold so like i said it will die out too. Mosses usually die of the cold and the heat.

    Mosses can grow almost everywhere in the world ,but they all die out in the summer and winter because of the temperature. They can’t survive the climate of these places of or unless people take mosses in there home and take care of it.

    Mosses can reproduce itself like a living thing. Living things can reproduce, need sun, water, food, and move. Mosses can do all of these except move. It can do all of these in a correct area. Not all mosses can die most of them die in the winter or summer.

    Let talk about fertilization. The plant moss’s fertilization can take place only when the mosses are wet. After fertilization the egg grows into a seed. This seed consists of a base or a foot embedded in a plant. It is a stalk people call it. It is about a size of a long piece of hair. It is also call a terminal capsule. This capsule which in most species is covered by a small-toothed lid that contains many spores. 

    These are the things that mosses can produce. Many people don’t know is that mosses can save our planet one day.  Mosses like a tree breathe out air. These can help or save us,people, one day. Mosses can reform mostly during the fall when it is maybe windy.

    They  are harmless plant. It is fine to touch them. They are really getting help from you. They feel a little smooth and sometimes rough. They are mostly smooth. They are maybe homes to insects for protection.

    Mosses can be found any where even on a building. Like I said they grow in compact area. They need to have the areas I said back in paragraph 1. The word moss may sound boring, but they really manner to the whole world. Don’t take moss as a worthless plant. They help you live. This manners to me. So remember, when you have a moss in the backyard don’t kill it. It is a home to insects, helping us breathe, and maybe kill some things you find disturbing.
